About Lahdayly
I started The Egg Diet in 2017, in the middle of my own effort to lose weight.
I was not a nutritionist then and I am not one now. I was someone who had decided to take losing weight seriously, and who spent a long time reading, testing, and separating useful advice from noise. The egg diet was part of that. So were calorie deficits, protein targets, and a number of approaches that turned out not to work.
At some point it occurred to me that everything I was learning was sitting in my own notes, helping nobody but me. That is why this site exists. It is the resource I wanted when I started, written by someone who went through it rather than by someone selling a program.
What I claim, and what I do not
I hold no medical, dietetic, or nutritional qualification. Nothing on this site is medical advice, and none of it replaces speaking to a doctor or a registered dietitian, particularly if you are pregnant, managing a health condition, or taking medication.
What I do offer is this: every article here is built on published research, checked against primary sources, and written in plain language. Where a claim comes from a study, the study is linked. Where the evidence is thin or disputed, the article says so rather than rounding it up into a promise.
How articles are researched, sourced, and reviewed is set out in full in the editorial policy.
