Editorial Policy

This page explains who writes The Egg Diet, where the information comes from, and how it is produced. If you are deciding whether to trust what you read here, this is the page that should tell you.

Who writes this site

All content is written and published by Lahdayly, who has run this site since 2017. There are no anonymous contributors and no guest posts.

Lahdayly holds no medical, dietetic, or nutritional qualification and does not present himself as a clinician. This site is written by someone who went through his own weight loss and reads the research carefully, not by a medical professional.

Where the information comes from

Claims about nutrition, metabolism, and weight loss are sourced from published research and official reference data. The sources used most often are:

  • Peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed and PubMed Central
  • USDA FoodData Central, for nutrition and calorie figures
  • The National Institutes of Health and its associated bodies
  • Published clinical guidance from recognised medical institutions

Where an article makes a specific factual claim, the source is linked inline so you can check it yourself. Where the research is limited, mixed, or contested, the article says so. Popular claims that are not supported by evidence are identified as such rather than repeated.

How articles are produced

Research and drafting are assisted by AI tools. Every article is then reviewed, checked against the cited sources, edited, and approved by Lahdayly before it is published. Nothing goes live unreviewed.

This is stated openly because Google asks publishers to be transparent about how content is created, and because readers are entitled to know.

Corrections and updates

Articles are revised when the underlying evidence changes or when an error is found. Substantive corrections are noted in the article itself. If you spot something wrong, email eggdietcontact@gmail.com and it will be looked at.

Advertising

This site carries advertising through Google AdSense. Advertisers have no involvement in and no influence over what is written here. Where a product is mentioned, its inclusion is not paid for.
